The Oregon State Fire Marshal (OSFM) – Community Right to Know (CR2K) program implemented a required security feature for CHS Manager logins. The Email Verification and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) (also known as One Time Password - OTP) took effect first week of June 2024.
We are implementing this update early in the year before the next reporting season of Jan 1st – March 1st, 2025.
Email Verification and MFA will affect ALL USER ROLES. MFA/OTP will occur every 90 days, after the first successful authentication, and after the one-time email verification.
After successful email verification, the OTP will be saved for 90 days for the designated username when using the same browser on the same computer and the same IP Address. If any details of the user account are changed, or your IP has changed, this will require a new OTP and/or email verification.
