The amount in/amount out codes are the total cumulative amount of the chemical that comes in and goes out of your facility over a calendar year.
Amount In
Add up the total aggregate amount of the chemical brought into the facility over the calendar year.
Example: You have a 500 gallon tank of diesel fuel that is filled up once a month each month.
500 gallons X 12 months = 6,000 gallons a year
The Amount In code would be a 21 which is 5,000-9,999
Amount Out
Add up the total aggregate amount of the chemical that goes out of the facility over the calendar year.
If you do not distribute the chemical and only use it within the facility then the Amount Out Code would be 00 which is 0-4. However, if you distribute the chemical you would add up the amount distributed over the calendar year.
Example: You distribute 1,000 gallons of gasoline to customers monthly.
1,000 gallons X 12 months = 12,000 gallons a year
The Amount Out Code would be 30 which is 10,000-49,999
